About Us – RS Plant

In the summer of 2000 Ronan founded the company and purchased his first tracked Excavator. From that point on we have grown and built a strong reputation for delivering quality projects that always meet and often exceed our clients’ expectations. Now with sixteen years’ experience we have the resources, expertise and commitment to deliver on time and within budget to the most exacting standards. The reliability and quality of our practice has enabled us to build a large client base including Main Contractors who approach us for repeated projects due to our high standards on completion and professional working relationships.

We operate from a small core group with a workforce including an Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, site manager, skilled labourers and drivers. However, we also have a large amount of contractual workers that work on a job-to-job basis for larger projects.

All our current employees have been with the company for a minimum of 5 years. All employees are either from our local community or have ties with our local community.

All employees hold Safe Pass tickets and all Plant Operators hold the relevant CSCS tickets.

In 2007 Ronan’s brother Kieran, a qualified Engineer joined the company. All of our work is set out to the greatest degree of accuracy possible. We achieve this by continuing to use the most up to date setting out equipment including Robotic total station and laser levels. Also our laser machine control systems ensure better results and less room for human error.

All of our employees understand our company policy of an extremely high standard of work and in turn they now demand a very high standard from each other and from all contractors working with them.

Our aim is to satisfy our clients through keeping them informed at every stage of a project and involved in the decision making process. We seek to offer different options during the construction process which may be more beneficial to the use of the building and more cost effective on completion.

Similarly when working under a Main Contractor, we like to be involved in the decision making process to ensure that the work we carry out on a project will deliver the best results possible.

At Ronan Sheridan Plant Hire Ltd we specialise in projects which must be carried out within a busy environment. We are very conscious of need to work alongside many different sub-contractors. We understand that compromises must be made while working on a busy site and will always do our utmost to carry out our work with minimum disruption to other contractors carrying out different activities on site.

We operate in the fields of both commercial and residential construction and have the equipment and resources for jobs of any size ranging from small one off housing to larger developments and industrial units.
